August 18th & 19th, 2000 NEW YORK MILLS, MINNESOTA: COLLAGE TECHNIQUES & CREATIVE EXPLORATION / The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center, New York Mills, MN. The first workshop I have ever led in in Minnesota will take place in a place with New York in its name! New York Mills, about an hour east of Fargo, ND, has one-thousand inhabitants and promises to be a tranquil setting for what I intend to be an exciting workshop. Explore composition and the creation of a personal visual vocabulary. Enjoy new opportunities for spontaniety as you learn how to eliminate liquid adhesives from the collage-assembly process. Other subjects to be covered include "Getting Started," Accessing our Creative Energies, "Paperless" Transfer of Printed and Photocopied Images, Permanency of Materials, Preparation of Substrates, Sources of Tools and Materials, Presentation and Framing of Finished Works, and more. The facilities at the NYMRCC are unusually spacious and we will have lots of room to spread out. Optional evening hours 'til ??? at no extra cost on Saturday. All tools and supplies provided. Workshop Fee (2 days): $200 ($170 for members of the Cultural Center). For a registration form you can print out and send in Click Here.
